Victorian Slang of the Week

Volume 1, A-G, J.E.Lighter Editor

Volume 1, A-G, J.E.Lighter Editor

Ok, this is just plain fun.  Bumsquabbled–confused or ruined.  As in “When she started explaining physics to me, I was bumsquabbled.”  It only had two references, but it cracked me up.  Don’t know where I’m using this one, but I will!  First reference, by the way, was 1838.
