Scandalous Victorian Dee

This is me on a train trip to Chicago.  Train travel in the era fascinates me.  I wanted to know what it felt liketo actually take a train trip over night and sleep in a berth.  While it certainly wasn’t a Pullman berth, I did get the feeling for the movement on the train.  On the way out, the train was pretty stable.  And slow, horribly slow because of “freight” traffic.  On the way back, the train swayed a lot.  It didn’t help that we got on the train at 8 PM and I had eaten a very rich meal.  It was lucky that the compartment had a toilet, because I experienced some nasty motion sickness.

  1. Hey, Dee!
This is going to be great!
It looks so professional and roomy.
I feel like there’s an echo in here. Must be these tall Victorian ceilings!
Mary Ann — checking it out!

  2. Hey, this IS a smart blog page!

I like the background just fine, but I did love that really red one you found earlier. And Mary Ann’s right, the celings are much higher here.

I’m so grateful for you, Dee. Not only did you find us and join us together, but you tackled the impossible world of computing technology!!!
